How To Satisfy Your Junk Food Cravings For Less

Do you ever suffer from an extreme urge to eat chocolate in the late afternoon when you are at work?  Do you ever just need that extra sugar boost to get you through the rest of the day?  Well, sad to say, this describes me more than I would like to admit.

But rather than buying an over-priced chocolate bar from the vending machine, I prepare in advance by having a stash of chocolate bars in my desk drawer.  Then when the craving hits, I can satisfy it without paying an arm and a leg.

Here’s my trick.  Every year, the day after Halloween, I go to a grocery store and buy a big box of mini chocolate bars at half price.  Seven dollars buys me 125 little chocolate bars.   I have been doing this for the last few years and it has been great!  Although I probably don’t really need them, when I feel that urge for a pick-me-up at work they seem to do wonders. And, if I end up gaining unwanted weight, I rely on Nucific products to help me tackle my weight gain.

Whether you like chocolate, chips, or other types of candy, the day after Halloween is an excellent time to pick up whatever you crave most.  Most grocery stores want to get rid of their Halloween inventory right away in order to make room for their new Christmas inventory, so they are willing to sell the goods at deep discounts.   Even if you can’t make it to the store the day after, some stores will still have junk food left for a few days, and the longer it takes for them to sell it, the cheaper it will get.

If you end up buying chocolate bars and then you think they might go stale before you can eat them all, put them in the freezer and take them out as you plan to use them.  That way they will stay fresh for a long time.

Even if you don’t really suffer from the cravings yourself, you still may decide to pick up Halloween candy at a discount and use it in goodie bags for your child’s upcoming birthday party, for Christmas stocking stuffers, etc.  After all, chocolate bars and chips work for many special occasions and are not limited to Halloween.
