Inspiring Money Quotes From The Wealth Cure

In Hill Harper’s book entitled The Wealth Cure, the author used a number of quotes.  I jotted down the ones I found entertaining, inspiring or thought-provoking so I could share them with you.  I hope you enjoy them.  Here they are:

“When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, all is lost.” – Billy Graham, American evangelist

“It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy.  It is what you think about.” – Dale Carnegie, American lecturer, author

“If we command our wealth, we shall be rich and free.  If our wealth commands us, we are poor indeed.” – Edmund Burke, British statesman and philosopher

“A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don’t need it.” – Bob Hope, British-born American comedian and actor

“It is neither wealth nor splendour; but tranquility and occupation which give you happiness.” – Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States and author of the Declaration of Independence.

“Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier.  The way it actually works is the reverse.  You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.” – Margaret Young, American singer

“You can always change your plan, but only if you have one.” – Randy Pausch, author

“You can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.” – John Wooden, one of the greatest basketball coaches of all time

“Forget the lottery.  Bet on yourself instead.” – Brian Koslow, American author and entrepreneur

“If a man is proud of his wealth, he should not be praised until it is known how he employs it.” – Socrates, Greek philosopher

“Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.” – Henry David Thoreau, American author, historian, philosopher
