Today is the last day of my 100-Day Challenge. It has indeed been a challenge, but I am really glad I decided to do it as the extra exercise as well as the extra money I have saved has been a positive thing for me.
Since my last update my husband and I went on vacation for two weeks, so for that period of time I did not count my entertainment expenses as we already set aside a vacation budget specifically for that time period. However, outside of our vacation spending, I was able to stick within my $100 entertainment budget, with money to spare. We went to the seafood buffet again, so I still have $15 left. Not bad. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do it. I guess that means today I can go out and spend $15! Just kidding!

Well, this will be my last update until the end of my 100-Day Challenge. With only 26 days to go, time has really flown by. I have felt more positive about the challenge lately. Exercising has become a more normal part of my routine each day. I even went for a walk one day during a break at work, which was nice. I think I will start to do more of that even after the challenge is over.
My entertainment is down to just $35 now as I went to a concert that cost me $20. I think I can manage to stick within this budget during the rest of this challenge without too much trouble.

There are 42 days left of my 100-Day Challenge, and it definitely is a real challenge for me right now. I have been struggling to make exercising a priority as it was never really a top priority for me before. Nevertheless, most days I have still managed to get at least 15 minutes of exercise. The odd day that I miss I try to make up for on the other days by doing at least 30 minutes or more of exercise. I do feel a bit like a failure, though, when it comes to the exercise piece of my challenge.
So far I have managed to keep within my $100 entertainment budget. Since the last update I spent $5.00 on ice cream while hanging out with a friend. So that means I still have $55 remaining. I have discovered that it is not easy to stick within this small budget for such a long period of time. I hope I can stick to it.

There are 58 days remaining for my 100-Day Challenge. I have been doing pretty well, considering the weather is getting beautiful, and my motivation to keep entertainment spending at bay is more difficult now that I am more prone to want to go out. I have discovered that it is a lot easier to save money during the winter when all I want to do after work is go home and stay warm.
Exercising for 15 minutes a day has been really good for me so far. I make a point to go for a walk, a bike ride, or just exercise inside for at least 15 minutes and it seems to be making a difference. I still feel really out of shape, but I think if I persist with regular exercise, even after this challenge is over, I will not regret it.

I thought it was time to post an update on the Pennysaverblog 100-Day Challenge. I’ve got 74 days left to go and so far it has been going fairly well.
Here’s what has happened since the first update:
Exercising for 15 minutes a day has been going well, although there were two days that I didn’t exercise. My excuse? I haven’t been feeling very well lately, however, I shouldn’t make excuses, so from now on I am determined not to miss another day during the rest of this challenge.

Ten days down, 90 more days to go for the Pennysaverblog 100-Day Challenge. So far it has been going well. I have been managing to get at least 15 minutes of exercise everyday. One day I cheated a little but I made up for it by going for a long walk the next day. As I thought, taking the time out of my day to exercise has been my biggest challenge. I know 15 minutes isn’t much, but for me it will take some time to realize that exercise really should be a priority.
So far I haven’t given into the temptation to buy anything frivolous, although I am finding it tough to keep the grocery bill down. No matter how much I try, I always seem to spend more than I expected when I grocery shop. I will have to work harder on that. We haven’t eaten out, though, and I haven’t let myself near any dollar stores lately.

I’m sure you’ve all made New Years resolutions and hopefully you are sticking with them. Although it’s not exactly the New Year anymore, I have decided to create the Pennysaver 100 Day Challenge that will run from March 15th until June 23rd.
I am doing this because I know I need to make some changes in my life, and if I write them down and share them with others, then I will be accountable, instead of just allowing myself to cheat. So, here’s how I will do it. I will write updates every couple of weeks letting you know how I am doing, and if I have failed in some way I will be sure to let you know.
These are the following things I hope to achieve over the next 100 days:
1. I will buy only what I need and I won’t buy anything frivolous. I’m already quite careful with what I buy, but sometimes I splurge on things that are unnecessary. For the next 100 days, I am determined to only buy necessities. This means I will need to steer clear of dollar stores because this is where I usually buy useless items. I will also have to be more careful when grocery shopping and limit myself to only purchase the items on my list.
