If you can take a site that has multiple search terms on the second and third page of Google and get it ranked within the first 5 spots, then you will quickly increase the value of the website, and that is what you want.
2. Improve the look of the website.
Another way to start profiting from website flipping is by upgrading the theme and layout of the website. Buyers want to see that a website looks good, that it gets traffic and that it is earning you money. You are already working on getting more traffic, so right now the only thing you should be working on is getting the site to look more professional. This is tough since every buyer has a different vision for a website but just know that as long as the design looks good, then they will buy it.
Once all of this is done, the traffic is starting to come in, the website looks better and you are beginning to earn a little money, then it is time to sell. What I would do is add Google Analytics to your website the very first day so that the buyer can see where the site was when you purchased it and where it is now.
