Cashing In On Your Spare-Time Interests

Have you ever thought about earning a full time living from your hobbies? It doesn’t matter if it’s sports, crafts, or even trading merchandise – it’s more than possible to earn a living with your hobbies – it’s the major source of income for millions of people all over the world!

Sometimes what seems like a career actually begins as a hobby for someone. Many couples that are adept at home repairs have a hobby of investing property, fixing it up, and flipping it into a profit.

The key to making mounds of money from your hobby is to pick something that makes you happy. You may not enjoy home repairs like your neighbor. Maybe you have a passion for taking everyday things and making an extraordinary piece of art from them.

The best thing about profiting from your hobbies is that you’re doing something that relaxes you and gives you joy in life. Not many people can say that about their jobs. In fact, most people in surveys would love to trade in their 9-5 corporate gigs for something more rewarding.

Stay Connected & Save Money With Skype

If you have loved ones that live far from home and talking on the phone just doesn’t cut it, I recommend using Skype.  It’s a free software that you can download onto your computer that is free, easy to use, and the best part is that you can even see an image of your loved one while you chat.  It’s like sitting across the table from the person you are chatting with; It really is the next best thing to seeing them in person.

Skype has been around since 2003 and since then many people from around the world have taken advantage of it.  Skype can be used as long as both parties have a high-speed Internet connection.  Although you have to pay for Internet, Skype itself is free.  It sure beats having to pay outrageously expensive phone bills to talk to friends and family living overseas or even outside of your city.

How To Save Money On Airline Tickets

There are many websites promoting cheaper airline tickets. If you compare prices between the sites, and some sites even compare between other sites for you, you can find the best possible price. Many of the websites have a lowest price guarantee, so be sure to check the fine print in case you qualify for it.

Another way to save money is to request an e-ticket, instead of having traditional paper tickets delivered to you before the flight. They also have the safety feature of not being able to lose the tickets before the flight, especially if you book far in advance.

You can buy two “back-to back” cheaper round trip tickets instead of unrestricted tickets, which are more expensive. By using half of each set of round trip tickets, you save money. The major draw back to this is you can’t use them toward frequent flyer miles.

If you travel during the middle of the week, instead of over the weekend, you can usually purchase cheaper airline tickets. The weekends are higher volume, so seats are at a premium.

How to Find Cheap College Textbooks

College students dread the start of every semester. This is because of the rising tuition fees, school supplies and textbooks. Every year, the cost of college is getting higher. It is only wise that students should learn how to cut costs and find alternatives in saving money.

Are you a college student who wants to save money? Worry no more! Did you know that you can save hundreds of dollars with college textbooks? Here are some tips that would help you save a lot of money with textbooks.

1. Save money on used books. Instead of buying a new one, why not consider a used textbook? You can ask other students who are done with the subject if they have the book you are looking for. There are also web sites on the Internet that sell cheap college textbooks.

2. Look for other alternatives. You may consult with your professor if you can buy the older edition of the book. An older edition of a college textbook almost has the same content as the newest edition most of the time. Buying an older edition can save you almost half the price of the latest one.

3. Required or recommended? Ask your professor whether the book is required or just recommended. If the book is just recommended, you may just read the book from your college library.
