Affordable Gardening Tips

This past spring, I decided to try planting some tomatoes without buying any seeds, soil, or other gardening supplies. Here’s how I did it:

First, I cut toilet paper rolls in half and put them in a tray. I added soil from our compost pile to each half roll. There was a roma tomato in the fridge that was starting to go bad, so I sliced it up and put one slice into each half roll and then covered the slice with a little bit more soil. I watered the plants and put them near the window where they would have adequate sunlight.
