When my husband and I got married we didn’t have very much money to work with.  We both were in agreement that we were not willing to go into debt in order to pay for our wedding.  In fact, the idea never even crossed our minds.  To us, our life afterwards was much more important than our wedding day.

A new trend is to have a single flower instead of a traditional bouquet. Having only one flower does have a bit of romance especially when the bride carries a calla lily which is a very elegant flower. If it is hard for the bride to give up the full bouquet a single flower could be given to each bridesmaid.
