Inexpensive Stocking Stuffer Ideas

If you’re like me, your favourite thing to do to prepare for Christmas is to stuff stockings. I love shopping for small items and then I wrap them individually before stuffing them in everyone’s stockings. Below are some stocking stuffer ideas that won’t break the bank.

 Practical Things

A great idea is to include items that are useful such as hygiene items, small clothing items, etc. Finger gloves, socks, lip balm, soap, a winter hat, etc. are a great addition to any stocking.  You can find affordable practical items at any dollar store.

Christmasy Things

Don’t forget to include small portions of everyone’s favorite Christmas chocolates, small Christmas decorations, scented Christmas candles, etc. These too can be found at the dollar store of your choice.

Treats

Pick up some of your family’s favorite treats in small packages – whether it be almonds, pistachios, plantain chips, Pringles, etc. These are inexpensive and they are always well received.

Toys

Don’t be afraid to also pack in some really fun items such as card games, small puzzles, bouncy balls, special pens or pencils, etc.

I usually do most, if not all, of my stocking stuffer shopping at a local dollar store. They have a huge variety of items to choose from, and they are a lot less money than at any other stores. I like to wrap most of the items just to add to the fun. Stocking stuffers can get expensive very fast if you’re not careful, so I encourage you to make a list, and then go shopping when you have sufficient time to spend so that you make wise shopping decisions. Happy holidays!
