You may be looking at the bare walls in your home and thinking it would be nice to put up some art work, but you can’t really afford to spend money on such a luxury. Below are some inexpensive ways to consider to decorate your home.
Garage Sales – You can find all sorts of interesting stuff that others are trying to get rid of – and art work is often sold because people just get tired of looking at it and they want to replace it with something else. Most of the time people just want to see it gone, so they don’t charge very much.
Thrift Stores– Every thrift store I’ve visited has a whole section dedicated to art work. And sometimes there’s some really nice art available. Most thrift stores sell items at a reasonable price, too, and for sure you will be able to buy it for less than retail price and you won’t have to pay any tax either.
Homemade – If you or someone you know is artsy, simply paint something on a canvas you can buy from any dollar store. If you are not looking for anything fancy, post your kids’ art work on the walls to bring life to a room.
Dollar Stores – Believe it or not, sometimes I have found some really nice art work at dollar stores, and of course, it was affordable. Just browse through the artsy section of the store and you will be pleasantly surprised by what you will find.
As you can see, there are a lot of ways to brighten up your walls without spending a fortune, so happy decorating!
