The best time to visit your local farmer’s market is in the fall when all the sellers are trying to get rid of their produce. During the summer you may find good deals, but in the fall you are guaranteed to find them.
If you have a family, there is no way out of spending money on things you do not want to do. Aside from doctor visits and education costs, kids are going to want you to spend your hard earned cash on all sorts of entertainment ventures, junk food, and toys they are going to get bored with after a couple of hours. While your kid’s attention span may be on par with a fruit fly, your money supply doesn’t have to get sucked into an electric buzzer. It is easy to find things around your city that are free and will distract your kids until the next episode of SpongeBob Squarepants comes on.
Apparently even when your appliances are turned off, many of them are continuously drawing power and costing you money. Home electronics, in particular, are supposed to be big energy wasters. By getting into the habit of unplugging electronics and other appliances when you are not using them, you can benefit by saving big on your electricity bill.
I know life doesn’t end after you have kids, but being married without kids has fewer responsibilities and does allow you to have a lot more freedom to do what you want with your money.
Also referred to as D.I.N.K.s, (Double Income No Kids), couples who don’t have children can freely choose to live their lives how they want, without worrying about providing for their children’s present and future.
